Nicholas Warner, Matthew Ziegelmann, Faysal A. Yafi
Summary: The aim of this study was to compare the infection risk between the AUA-recommended prophylaxis (vancomycin and gentamicin alone) and nonstandard regimens for primary inflatable penile prosthesis surgery. The results showed that the infection rate was similar between the two groups, but the vancomycin and gentamicin regimen was associated with a higher infection risk. Therefore, further research is needed to evaluate the recommended antimicrobial prophylactic regimens and determine best practices for inflatable penile prosthesis surgery.

Targeting Adenosine A2b Receptor Promotes Penile Rehabilitation of Refractory Erectile Dysfunction
Yang Xiong, Feng Qin, Shanzun Wei, Xingliang Yang, Jun Li, Changjing Wu, Fuxun Zhang, Jiuhong Yuan
Summary: This study used a variety of methods to determine the receptor subtype responsible for adenosine-induced erection, and established three rat models to characterize refractory ED. The results showed that the A2b receptor mediates adenosine-induced penile erection, and activating the A2b receptor can promote penile rehabilitation of refractory ED by alleviating hypoxia and fibrosis. In addition, the oral adenosine transporter inhibitor dipyridamole can also promote penile rehabilitation by attenuating hypoxia and fibrosis, showing therapeutic potential in clinics.

Thermal noise-driven resonant sensors
Yan Qiao, Alaaeldin Elhady, Mohamed Arabi, Eihab Abdel-Rahman, Wenming Zhang
Summary: MEMS/NEMS resonant sensors show potential in sensing minute masses and forces, but intrinsic noise limits their performance. Researchers propose a paradigm shift to use intrinsic thermal noise as the driving force, developing noise-driven sensors. These sensors detect stimuli by exploiting the dynamic amplified response to thermal noise at resonances and are suitable for nano-structures with low damping and high compliance. To overcome the phase incoherence of the driving force, three quantitative sensing mechanisms are developed. Experimental demonstrations of noise-driven pressure and temperature sensors validate the sensor paradigm, providing a new opportunity for the development of practical NEMS sensors.

Summary: This paper presents a first-order antisymmetric (A1) mode Lamb wave resonator (LWR) based on Z-cut LiNbO3 thin films and proposes LWRs with checker-shaped IDTs for the design of filters that meet the Wi-Fi 6E standard. The fabricated 6-GHz resonators successfully suppress higher-order A1 spurious modes, demonstrating a spurious-free impedance response and a high figure-of-merit (FOM) up to 104. The filter features a center frequency (f0) of more than 6 GHz, a 3 dB BW exceeding 620 MHz, and an excellent OoB rejection >25 dB, and a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of less than 2, showing an excellent 50 Omega impedance matching.
